CARE PACK INSTRUCTIONS
Care packs are a great project for friends, families, churches, home groups and schools to get together to fill. These care packs will be going to vulnerable groups of displaced people and refugees in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
You will need to fill the box with items from a list that I give you. Please only include items which are on this list as we cannot send anything that is not on our list. These lists have been checked with our local partners to ensure that we are sending the most useful and appropriate items.
Please follow these step by step instructions to ensure that your box complies with customs regulations and will arrive without delays.
Print off the shopping/checklist for the box that you want to fill, and the personal message of your choice. (Please only use our standard messages)
Buy items from each category (only new items with tags for these care packs please)
Collect free banana boxes, with lids from local supermarkets
Fill the box with your items (cover the hole in the bottom of the box with a piece of cardboard)
Bulk out the box with duplicates of any items on the list to ensure it is full (we cannot send half filled boxes)
Take a photo of yourself or the group of people who have put the box together and stick onto the personal message
Put your personal message and photo into the box.
Tape the checklist on TOP of the banana box lid, over the hole. This contains the important information that customs must be able to see. Please do not tape the lid closed as we will need to open it to check the contents before shipping.
If you are able, please contribute towards transportation costs of sending your box to the people in need. We suggest £5 per banana box.
Contact us to arrange a time to deliver during our DELIVERY WEEKS in May or early June to East Sussex or Wellingborough. There will be specific delivery times on certain days for people to deliver their boxes. Alternatively, please contact us for a postal address to send your box to.
THANK YOU, so much! Your contributions will make a big difference, and each box will give one more person the knowledge that we care about them, and that they have not been forgotten by the world.
